Lincoln: The Constitution & the Civil War
Traveling Exhibition
March 3rd through April 13th
Opening Reception Saturday March 3rd from 1:00pm - 4:00pm
The United States is celebrating the 150th Anniversary of the Civil War from 2011 - 2014. We are delighted to have been chosen
to host the traveling exhibition "Lincoln: The Constitution and the Civil War" which examines how President Lincoln used the
Constitution to confront three crises of the Civil War; the secession of Southern states, slavery, and wartime civil liberties.
This exhibition is composed of informative panels featuring reproductions of original documents, including a draft of Lincoln's first
inaugural speech, the Emancipation Proclamation and the Thirteenth Amendment.
