Southeast Michigan is now plugged into United Way 2-1-1, the multilingual hotline that links callers either looking to get help or give help, to more than 5,000 health and human services, 24 hours a day, seven days a week through an easy to remember phone number. United Way 2-1-1 makes connecting to help fast and simple. In fact, think of the system as the equivalent to emergency 9-1-1, for non-emergency individual and family needs instead.

Alcoholics Anonymous is an international fellowship of men and women who have had a drinking problem. It is nonprofessional, self-supporting, nondenominational, multiracial, apolitical, and available almost everywhere. There are no age or education requirements. Membership is open to anyone who wants to do something about his or her drinking problem.

We are an educational and informational organization which answers questions about the Judicial-Legal System with regards to the family court arena, social service arena and any other area where individuals need to know their rights. We provide public speaking lectures upon request. We provide crisis intervention and counseling on both legal and mental health levels. The issues that we deal with are divorce, custody, child support, visitation denial, unwed parental rights and false personal protection orders. Fathers for Equal Rights of America meet once a month of the third Wednesday at 7:30 PM.

Have a Voice with LOPRO (Lake Orion Public Resource Organization) The purpose of this on-line forum is to give a voice to citizens within the Lake Orion Community to express their concerns about our community and schools, share valuable information about upcoming events and community fundraising activities. We welcome anyone associated with our community (community groups, law officials, township and village supervisors, students, parents, grandparents, guardians, stepparents, current and former school district employees, teachers and administration) to come together and strive towards continuous improvement of this wonderful community. We want to focus on what is best for the youth in our community when it comes to scholastic and substance abuse education using development assets as our framework. Mothers of Preschoolers (MOPS)

MOPs is a non-denominational international group with home base in Denver, CO. The mission of MOPS is to nurture every Mother of Preschoolers to meet her distinct needs to the glory of Jesus Christ. Moms gather to hear topics of interest presented by a speaker. Moms are then separated into small groups to discuss the topic, share mutual concerns, relax, build relationships and grow spiritually. The meeting winds down with a craft/creative activity where moms can be creative and feel a sense of accomplishment that comes from seeing a completed project, well done.

We are a non-profit weight support group that encourages daily awareness of food and drink in accordance with an individual weight chart. We meet weekly. TOPS, "take off pounds sensibly" is non-profit and is an International organization. The fees are $14.00 a month, thus making it possible for most people to afford the meetings. There is a $20.00 annual membership fee. TOPS is a very successful program and really cares to help you lose weight and reach your goals.
