The Friends are an organization started in 1985 to promote
public support of the Orion Township Library and the library in
the community, to promote reading, literacy and lifelong
learning, and to maintain an association of persons interested
in the library. Friends act in cooperation with the library
board and staff, serving as a liaison between the community and
library.
The Orion Township Public Library has many opportunities for
you to share your skills, experience, time and energy. Help is
needed with a variety of tasks, some simple and some more
specialized. Volunteers may come in weekly, monthly, or just
assist with certain programs or events.
Memorialize or honor an individual or commemorate a special
occasion with a gift to the library, make an online donation,
and review the library's policy on the donation of books and
other materials.
The Orion Township
Public Library is a member of
The Library Network,
the largest library cooperative in the State of
Michigan
serving 2.4 million residents located throughout all
or parts of Wayne, Washtenaw, Oakland, St. Clair,
Livingston and Macomb counties.
