Your two (2) tax mills for police protection provides for twenty-one (21) contracted deputies assigned over three (3) shifts to provide twenty-four (24) hour service.

Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (Officers work 24/7 and can be reached at (248) 858-4950.)

Copies of Reports     Back to Top

Copies of reports may be obtained during normal business hours. Please allow forty-eight (48) hours from the time the report was taken before requesting a copy. There is a $3.00 charge for Orion residents and a $1.00 per page charge for non-residents.

These are handled at the Sheriff's Department Records Division main office at 1201 N. Telegraph Rd., Pontiac MI 48341, (248) 858-5015.

Sex Offender List     Back to Top

You may contact our Records Department Supervisor at 1201 N. Telegraph Rd., Pontiac, MI, 48341, to request a listing of sex offenders by zip code. You will be allowed to view that portion of the Sex Offender's Registration Book in the presence of an Oakland County Sheriff's Department Records employee. No copies or reproductions will be allowed, no questions about the sex offender will be answered, and you may not leave the presence of the Department employee with the book. The Sex Offender's Registration Book will be updated monthly by the Freedom of Information Officer. There is no charge to the public for this service.

Cell Phone Donations:

 

Donations of cell phones can be made to the main office of the Sheriff Department at 1200 N. Telegraph Rd., Building 38E, Pontiac, MI 48341, or at your local substation. The Orion Substation is located on the lower level of the Orion Township Hall, 2525 Joslyn Road, Lake Orion, MI 48360. Phones donated must be in good condition and include an AC/DC recharging unit. Phones will be reprogrammed, kept charged and will only dial 911 emergency personnel.

 

Cell Phone Pick-Ups:

 

Senior citizens may pick up a cell phone at the main office of the Sheriff Department at 1200 N. Telegraph Road, Building 38E, Pontiac, Michigan 48341, every Friday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon, and every first and third Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
